Merry Xmas everybody!!! Happy birthday MUM!
Once again the season of greetings and joy has arrived. Wishing one and all a very merry Christmas and a Happy Boxing day! This Christmas seem pretty much boring to me, not in a festive mood, probably due to my results which is pretty much screwed, and also pretty worn out after all the mental hectic-ness of my HO course and my unit's stuff.
Everything seem to be pretty much in a mess, the dust has yet to settle down, and now I have to start worrying about modules bidding yet again. It just seems to me like a never ending cycle, sinking in ever deeper.
Speaking of results. It was an over estimation of my capabilties and also a under estimation of the exams. For those who have seen the prediction of my grades after my exams in a post some time back and still remembers, I would have been the butt of this joke. Reality struck a far cry from hope. The saying goes: Aim for the skies, you will land among the stars if you fail. Well, I did aim for the skies, but I landed back on the ground. So hard, so painful, so real. Lesson learnt: Aim for the skies only when you know how far you can fly, there is really no point forcing yourself.
Alright lets compare my prediction and my results:
Psychology: Predicted A-, Got B+
Economic: Predicted B+, Got B+
Singapore Society: Predicted B+, Got B-
Malay Studies: Predicted B+, Got B
Japanese: Predicted B, Got C+
Predicted CAP: 4.0, got 3.40.
Other than my econs, the rest all fall short of my prediction. My Jap suck big time. No way am I gonna take a language module ever again. Totally Disgusted!! I wouldn't be so affected if there were no Cs on my transcript. Now, I've to face the fact that studying is not my forte and it never will be. I was born to mediocrity and I just have to accept the fact. Now that I know how far I can fly, I will fly as far as I can fly. Good Riddance...
Later I will be meeting up with S4 peepz for breakfast at cityhall before the Games day. An annual event, the friendly battle of games between NUS NPCC and NTU NPCC. Last year NUS NPCC won, well this year WHO CARES?! As long as we all have FUN!! The main objective would be meeting up with S4 peepz, its our 1st meet up after the course.
Last Friday, accompanied Ah Lian AnQi to the dentist early in the morning. Then we went shopping the entire day. Supposed to get present for dear, but ended up buying nothing. Just walked and walked the entire day, from SGH to HongLim to National Lib to Bugis to Taka, all on foot! As if I've not walked enough during army days..lolx...but walking is the best time to talk and gossip, esp with that Ah Lian and all her gossips..lolx....Oh..Gossip is a negative word, its "heart talk". hahax..Met dear in the evening for dinner, and dear got me a wallet for Christmas. Thanks dear! I like it alot!
Went to town today to get another wallet with dear. 25th Dec is my mum's birthday. Got her a wallet as her birthday present. Happy Birthday Mum! I love you!...
