Shit does really happen!

I couldn't get the modules i bidded for, I'm so damn disappointed. It seems like I'm the only idiot in the entire Faculty that did not get my bidded modules. Haiz! Having asked around, all my other friends got whatever they wanted. I'm the only fool left!! Failing to plan, is planning to fail. I planned! Maybe I'm just a failure, so it makes not much of a difference. Anyway outta the 4 modules i bidded, I got 2 of them, psychology and malay studies. i couldn't get philosophy and political science. Can anyone believe it?!!!! Quota was exceeded for political science and i was out- bidded!! Since when has everyone became so damn interested in POLITICS!
Right now, I'm so lost I also do not know what to do. Can only wait for monday when round 2a of bidding begins. I would probably stick to bid for the same modules, if not I would change political science to economics. Shall see how. Shit happens and it always happen to me! I'm going for flag day on tues, to accumulate some good deeds by doing the community good. Shit can't be always happening to me right!!?!
Okie, enough of shit that happened. Today, I went for a seminar at Suntec convention hall. This talk is titled " WATER, more than just H2O". The speaker is a japanese professor, Dr Masaru Emoto, author of this book "The Hidden Messages In Water". Dr Emoto is an expert in the studies of water, he discovered that water has a few characteristics which I deem very few of us are aware of. Basically, what Dr Emoto did was, he took water samples from all over the world, different sources of water, he freezes them and then he magnified it to 200times under the mircoscope, he took photographs of what he sees under the mircoscope. Different water from different sources produces different shapes and sizes of water crystals. Afterwhich, he did different experiments to these water sample, then discover that Water has "life". He found that water will react differently when placed in different conditions. Like when he place the water in a musical envionment, the water crystals formed would be much more beautiful than when its not exposed to music. Like when he paste different words on the bottle of water and leave it for 24hrs, those bottle of water with words like thank you, love etc would produce every clear and beautiful crystals as compared to those exposed to very negative words. Wonderful isn't it?! When the water is exposed to certain pictures for a period of 24hrs, the crystals formed would be of resemblance to the picture it was exposed to. He also made 18 children said prayers to a water sample. The original water's crystal was very vague and unclear, after the children said their prayers to the water, the water produces very clear and beautiful crystals. Very interesting facts I learnt about water during this seminar. It was 25bucks well spent. The only bad point was the speaker spoke in japanese, so there was this female translater, who is also a japanese, so when she translates, her english is kinda werid and hard to understand, so I gotta listen very intently to know whats going on.
Anyway, for those who are interested to know what the water crystals look like, go to: http://www.hado.net/water_crystals2.html
Hmm..Despite not being able to successfully bid my modules, I did learnt something new today. Despite being a failure for that, I shall not give up, and I will continue to strive. Dwelling over spilled milk brings me no where. I WILL succeed at my next bidding round because I am the BEST!

Shitty

I more I think of this bidding shit, the shittier it feels. And when the shittier it feels, the more i fear that I would not get what I want and suffer for the entire semester doing all kinda nonsense. Shit happens! It always does! Sickening!! Sickening!! Sickening!!
I shall not be moved!!!!!!!!!

Module Bidding

Module bidding commenced this morning for all freshies. This 2 day bidding excercise will determine what we will be going through the whole of semester 1. A fair system? A flawless system? I could not disagree less. In retrospect, what had been done in the past 2 decades of our educational journey, sad to say, nothing had been fair. Built on a basis of meritocracy, the destined results are everything. Has the ongoing process of no importance anymore? Or has it loses its significance along the way, such that no one cares how it happened anymore, the focus is now on what would i get in the end. We had advanced so far into this into technological era but indeed our mindset had not moved an inch. What an irony I had found ad-mist the deepest scrutiny of this society. I had yet again revealed my misanthropical beliefs of this very society. This very one whom I call home. Yes! The one which indoctrinates us with mandatory Singapore Studies modules, incorporated with its very own propaganda.
I need to get out fast but i fall short of choices. All I can do now is to pen down my dissatisfactions. I will continue to strive. I will be constantly searching for my escape route. I will be what I want to be and not what the society perceives of me. That is purely because I am the BEST! Period.
Enough said.
Hopfully I will get all the modules that I bidded for.

Matriculated

Matriculated today. Din go to work. Wont be working anymore for this entire week. Got enough to think about my modules bidding. Will be going to sch for Orientation talks tmr and wed. Hopfully it will be fruitful instead of the usual NUS and NTU comparision shit. These NUS ppl really like to take NUS and NTU for comparision, which fac and which fac is more superior than NTU blar blar blar...
Ordered my laptop today also. Got the Fujistu S7021. It costs $2318. I am gonna apply for the NUS interest free loan but it only covers $2k. I still gotta fork out $300. Hmm..wont be joining in for Orientation week which starts this thurs to next thurs. Gotta pay $15 to join. So other than Freshies Inauguration ceremony on the 1st Aug, I will only start school on the 8th!! Great! This thurs is the module bidding, hopfully I can get whatever I want. Sickening. Think I gotta prepare for 1 more English module this sem. Took the QET last week. Horrible. Yes! Horrible! I mean my English is horrible. The last essay I wrote was on the very day of my Alevels GP paper till last week. Think the essay I wrote during QET was a piece of attrocious writing. I am done for. Why is this happening?!!
My writing is becoming more and more horrendous!

Tired but Fulfilling

Yawnz! So tired these 2 days. There is a promotion on going at Suntec, between Carrefour and my company PALLADINE. It is a 3 day promotion period for my 32 inches LCD TV, original price was $2099, currently going for $1799! Personally i feel that it is a very good buy, considering that the specifications of this model is substantially competitive with most leading brands on the market and it is boasting the lowest price on the market also. Okie, anyway, during this promotion period, I have to work 12 hrs a day. This is the 2nd day, it is real real real tiring, to stand 12hrs a day. But despite all this fatigue, the sales results for these 2 days are excellent. The 1st day was pretty normal, I only sold 3 sets. But today, I sold a total of 6 sets and 1 set of 17". So in these 2 days, i sold a total of 9 sets of the 32" TV and 1 set of the 17" LCD TV. Tomorrow is the last day of the promotion, I've got 5 sets of stock left. 1 customer already called me to reserve a set for him, he will be coming to make payment tmr, so before i even start work tmr, I had already sold a set. hahaz. So now effectively I'm left with only 4 sets to sell tmr, and I can guarantee that I will sell all 4 sets tmr!! Tmr is going to be another long and tiring day, my legs are getting wobbly already.hahaz. But nevertheless, I will strive for the best results! I will be the BEST sales persons in SUNTEC, I will be better than JOE GIRARD!
I just received my matriculation package from NUS. So many forms to fill up, so many things I needa know. 2 more weeks before I embark on the next phrase of my life and I am still so ignorant about it! Damnz! Think I better quit school and become a full time sales person!hahaz. Think I know more about sales than I know more about school!! Matriculation, QET, Orientation talks, bid modules, blah blah blah...so MAN FAN!! Whateva! I'll take whateva that comes along da way!
Wei Wen, JIA YOU!!!

Union Camp 2005

Hello guys! I just got back from Union Camp. It was 5 days of fast paced, back to back series of FUN filled activities! My voice is dead! I lost my voice on the 3rd day of camp! All that nonstop cheering did not help. And of cuz, I had learnt alot of new cheers, from English to Mandarin to Hokkien! You should listened to all those Hokkien cheers, you never gonna believe we are all from NUS! Probably from some street gangs or something. coolz! hahaz. Right from the very 1st day, we had been running nonstop all over the school, as you know, NUS ain't that small anyway and for a slacker like me who had not exercised for ages, these activities are certainly taking its toil on me.hahaz.
Alright, my OG is FERVO, consisting of 24 fun loving peepz. These are really nice people and it had been great knowing them! On the 2nd day, I lost my hall room transponder(e-key), it costs $42 for a replacement key, and my folks(freshies and councilors) forked out abit each to help me subsidise the cost. I really appreciate that! Thank you guys!
2nd night was FRIGHT NIGHT conducted at HAW PAR VILLA, started at around 12mn, and ended not till 3 in da morning. Its aim was to scare the shit outta us. Although I would say that it was not that frightening, but I would applaud efforts the councilors put in in making this event. The costumes, the make up, were done up well! They had to stick up with the make up and costumes for hours in that heat and not forgetting the mosquitoes. I would find it rather dangerous not for us, but for those females councilors who were stationed alone, wouldn't they be more scared than us, in that ambience at the place? Anyway, GOOD JOB!
Through out the camp, we all had minimal sleep. Through all 4 nights, we slept at about 3-4 in the morning, and during the last night, most of them stayed up till daybreak, I slept at 3, too tired! Can't take it anymore!hahaz! We had a Freshies Presentation, so all 10 OGs gotta come out with their own item. My OG came up with a Pageant performance and incorporated a commercial in between. It was real funny. It was a pageant for 5 different popular characters, we have got Mr and Mrs Smith, Spiderman and Mary Jane, Tarzan and Jane, Phua Chu Kang, and the last was RU HUA and Jay Chou ( imitating our OGLs ). And who do you think I acted as?! Hahaz. Well, I was PCK! All the other OGs performances were good also! We had dances, skits, adverts. Everyone put in effort resulting in good performances!
And I got to know this ger named MEILIN. She was my secret pal. On the 1st night, we were all blindfolded and brought to our secret pal and had a 10-15mins chat with her. So without revealing our names and OGs, talked about anything under the sun! and this suspense was only relieved in the CHIONG night where we had dinner with SP. And Can you believe it? We had PACKED LUNCHBOXES for DINNER at a club called GOTHAM PENTHOUSE! What an anti climax! A so called candlelight dinner indeed! Alright, Meilin is a funny and cute little gal from Chemical Engineering. Keep in Touch!
Hmmm..enough about union camp if not this entry ain't gonna end! So now that my voice is still worse than HUSKY, and I needa go back to work tomorrow! If you know whats my job, HOW?! If you don't, I'm a sales person, HOW again?! hahaz. shall see how tomorrow! I'm sure customers would be enchanted and mesmerized by my sexy voice! HAhaz!
Now that I am very well rested for a week away from all that work but no play! Its time to pick it all up and start selling again! I am gonna work hard and produce better sales figure! I will make it becuz I am the BEST! Joe Girard in the making!

My life is getting boring!

This few days are fantastic! I sold 3 PLASMA TVs in consecutive 3 days. A 42" and 17" LCD on Thurs, a 46" on Friday and a 42", a 32" and a 17" today! Incredible! If this continues, I am gonna become Carrefour Best Sales person ever! Hahaz. Maybe I am the next Tom Hopkins? Who knows?
Other than all those sales figure, there is not much of life left in me. The most exciting part of my everyday life is to encounter different kind of people and use different methods to tackle them into buying my TVs. Just got my paycheck today. Peanuts pay! Only got my basic pay, commission calculations are not out yet.
Im going on a 4days break next week! I am going to NUS UNION Camp from the 5th to 9th July. Finally I am going for a break and getaway from all the POSITIVE IONS I'm receiving from all the Electronics everyday which is detrimental to my body. Time to get out to the world of nature to absorb negative IONS, to affect my Alpha brain waves to calm my mind. Hahaz..loads of crap~but is true k! Hopfully I can enjoy myself at the camp and broaden my social cycle.
My dad just refused to lend me some money to invest in some business, he kept insisting that I wouls be cheated. Haiz! how? Laterz!
