不想长大。
Bu Xiang Zhang Da(Don't wish to grow up) is the title of the song by S.H.E. playing now on my blog. Coming to think about it, sometimes I wish I was still in my childhood years. Carefree and innocent. Thoughts not tainted by the corrupted world. Confined and protected by the comfort of our parents.
This song led me to think of the book titled, "Little Prince". Those who have read it will know why, for those who have not, what are you waiting for? Its a good book.
As the numerals attached to something called age increase proportionally over the years, we are exposed to more of this polluted world. Diminishing innocence sets in at a increasing rate, we are not as carefree anymore. More responsibilties to be beared.
As the counter strikes 21, the law recognises us as legal adults. From that point on, everything esle becomes a liabilty. We are no longer protected by Ignorance. Responsibilties increase, liabilities at an even faster rate.
In the irony of it all, we see the contradiction of adults having more freedom to the fact that what ever we do, we are more legally bounded. More restricted than ever. Where is the freedom so to speak?
I'm into my 3rd year ever since the counter strikes 21. I've probably transit from a cynical teenage into a even more cynical adult. It has probably reach a point whereby I'll think," hey! c'mon, thats what life is all about, why bother complaining..."
This is not supposed to be a sad entry and neither am I feeling sad right now. Let not my cynism influence you. Its always good to grow up, its just me. Oh, wat an irony again! I would like to quote my favourite quote, "Life is a contradicting Irony". This is something I came up myself so its copyrighted. If you are a follower of my blog, you would have seen this quote umpteen times already.
Singapore Idol is back! Sorry Huifen, but I'm not joining. Neither am I joining Superband. Lolx..I cant sing properly and dancing is just an excuse, I can't dance either..Hahax..and further more, I am obese!! Right Anqi?! Backing out from Superstar last season after filling up the application form did leave me with some regrets thereafter but not this time anymore. Its not my cuppa tea. I'm not suitable for this. hahax..I'm taking theatre studies this sem, maybe you will see me as a comedian some day..hahax...waiting for LIANG DAOYAN to uncover my hidden talents. I wonder why nobody call him by name these days anymore, all call him Liang Daoyan.
See! In life, there are many choices we make, many steps we take, many directions we would head for. It matters not how many steps we took before arriving at our destination, what matters most is along the way, take not the wrong step for it will bring us to the wrong destination. If you are lucky, a detour might be available and you will be back on track again, if you are not, a detour might be too long and tedious and you decide to take on this misled road forever. 一失足成千古恨。何必呢?我不想长大。。。
"我不想我不想不想长大
长大后世界就没有花
我不想我不想不想长大
我宁愿永远都笨又傻..."
