I Not Stupid Tooooo

Watched Jack Neo's latest production "I Not Stupid 2" with dear just now after dinner. It is the 1st movie I watched in the theatres ever since the price of movie tickets rose to $9.50. I did watch other movies but the sources of these movies, i shalt discuss in too much details here. lolx..As for "I not stupid", I think it is definitely worth the $9.50.

Being skeptical about movie sequels, for they are usually not as fantastic as the 1st, this movie really made me change my opinion about sequels. Personally, I felt that this is better than "I not stupid 1". The storyline basically focus on family education this time round. Those were scenes so close to heart of Singapore teens, especially those from neighbourhood schools. It is something one from the top of the meritocracy hierachy would never understand. Parents not listening to their child enough, not communicating enough, teachers not understanding enough. Students in the N(Technical) are deem as “烂苹果”, despised by educators, parents and friends.

“烂苹果，把烂了的部分切掉，就可以再用了，如果把他丢掉，不是什么都没了？”

It has a few touching scenes that would make one tear for one moment but at the next moment make you laugh hilariously. That I think Jack Neo has done it again, in conveying his point across to his audience and not forgetting his touch of humor. It sees a society that is unforgiving, its reluctance to give others the 2nd chance, it is so in the educational system, likewise in the legal system. Is public canning effective at all? Does the child learned not to repeat the mistake again because of the shame inflicted or because he really learned what he did was wrong?

“这世上没有教不会的孩子，只有不会教得父母。。”

“养不教，父之过。教不严，师之惰。” Nurturing the growth of a child is not only the responsibilty of the teachers, it is by and large the fault of the parents for kids to grow up in an misled environment. What is the point of bring the child up but not teaching him the correct things?

This is the theme song of the movie, <一生绝望> . Read the lyrics carefully, it is very meaningful.
